Atlanta Advertising Agencies: For most people,
car buying happens every few years, but for those in the wholesale
buying and selling business, it is daily occurrence that has the
potential to expose a variety of emotions from tenacity and determination
to exhilaration and satisfaction. The process of buying and selling
vehicles for a living evokes a vast array of personality types,
from cowboy to rock star.
Atlanta ad agency Kilgannon - a member of the American Advertising Agencies network - has developed a new campaign for Manheim that captures the various personalities and tales of wholesale buyers and sellers. The integrated campaign, which includes print, video online and direct mail components, breaks on May 24.
"Manheim is the industry leader, with a great track record of offering the most vehicles and the greatest accessibility," said Rena Kilgannon, president of Kilgannon. "Our goal with this campaign was to motivate customers to move beyond just a functional association with the brand and to develop an emotional tie to it. At any given point in time, wholesale buyers and sellers will find themselves tapping into the mindset of one of the personalities represented. And, looking back, individuals will likely find that they have represented each of the personality types at one time or another."
The campaign depicts a total of 12 personalities, any combination of which could surface in the wholesale marketplace, regardless of whether the transaction is conducted online or in the lane. Every transaction is a little different, as is the mindset a wholesale buyer or seller may exhibit during a particular transaction. No matter the approach, by choosing a Manheim auction, participants can rest assured they are "winning in the greatest marketplace there is."
Personalities of wholesale sellers featured in the campaign include: cowboy, emperor, Greek god, guardian, prospector, shark and rock star. Wholesale buyer personalities that are profiled include: big game hunter, detective, gambler, magician and secret agent. The copy captures the tale of each personality. For example, a wholesale seller may transform into a rock star who knows she'll always sell out the show. The auction is her stage, and she has an all-access pass. She is ready to "crank up the volume and let the bidding begin." A wholesale buyer may take on the personality of a gambler who holds his cards close and learns the other man's game. By bidding at precisely the right moment, he "rakes in big profits later." To meet these and other auction personalities, visit Manheim.com/YourAdvantage.

What do a break-dancing bear, a tricked-out '77 VW bus and college-age Czars have in common? They're all part of Cheerwine's new lighthearted and laid-back 2010 integrated marketing campaign, which aims to tap into people's inner "chill."
An integrated mix of activities, the North Carolina soft drink's new campaign targets its key audience - 18-24 year olds - by reaching them during the TV shows they watch, via the social media they use, at the places they spend their leisure time and through their peers.
"This group places a premium on brands that are relevant, those that speak directly to them and don't try too hard to "sell," so our campaign is just like our sparkling soft drink - unique, relaxed, down to earth and doesn't take itself too seriously," says Tom Barbitta, vice president of marketing for Cheerwine. "We aim to convey the brand's new 'Long Live Leisure' rally cry while providing laid-back, and often humorous, entertainment and opportunities for our fans to engage the brand."
Atlanta-based Hauser Group, Cheerwine's marketing agency of record, created the campaign. The agency won top honor - Best of Show - for it work for the family-owned soft drink at the most recent Atlanta ADDY Awards.
"In 2010, we've built on all the successful elements we debuted in 2009 while launching a new focus for the campaign: 'Long Live Leisure,'" says Ed Klein, president of the Hauser Group. "With a brand like Cheerwine that has such a dedicated and loyal following, we know the fans are truly ambassadors and will share their favorite campaign elements with friends and family - true buzz agents that we strategically activate."

Atlanta Advertising Agencies: Kilgannon was honored with two ADDY® awards at a ceremony recently hosted by the Atlanta Ad Club. The agency won a Silver ADDY award for the web site it redesigned for The Bantam Group. Kilgannon also won a Bronze ADDY award for a direct mail piece it developed for Manheim.
“I am both impressed and inspired by the work that is being done in Atlanta. It is always a great honor to compete against such a talented group of creative minds,” said Rena Kilgannon, president of Kilgannon. “Winning at this show is especially significant because this is the only creative competition hosted by the advertising industry for the industry.”
Kilgannon won an ADDY award for the web site it developed for The Bantam Group, an Atlanta-based market research firm. Kilgannon modernized the firm’s web site and logo, changing both the color scheme and font to better match the company’s personality in the marketplace.
In addition, the agency introduced flash, video and motion elements and tailored the site messages to appeal to small- to medium-sized agencies, the firm’s primary audience. Kilgannon accomplished this by demonstrating how its breadth of capabilities, including strategic research, planning and tracking tools, can benefit an agency’s bottom line.
The agency also won an ADDY award for a direct mail piece it produced for Manheim. The piece was developed to educate prospective dealers about the company’s frontline services offering. Manheim can recondition a used vehicle so that when it arrives on a dealer’s property, it is in “sell now” condition, saving a dealer both time and effort. The Manheim Frontline direct mail piece was sent to dealers in Dallas, one of the company’s test markets. The piece, along with other marketing components, helped to increase the revenue Manheim gained from post-sale reconditioning by more than 400%. Due to the overall success of the Manheim Frontline marketing program, it is scheduled for a national rollout later this year.

Atlanta Ad Agencies: Hauser Group, an Atlanta full-service advertising and marketing firm, has set a new gold standard for marketing on Evite.com with the results of its digital and creative campaign for HPNOTIQ, a blue liqueur that blends premium vodka, natural tropical fruit juices and a hint of Cognac.
The innovative campaign included several elements: the first sponsored widget on Evite; an event invitation template, which outperformed site standards by more than seven times; and interactive banner ads that were engaged at rates twice those of industry norms.
"The HPNOTIQ brand was very well received among Evite users, and all of Hauser's placements performed far above spirits category and site averages, setting record-breaking site benchmarks, " says Avery Mack, account manager for IAC Advertising, the media sales arm for Evite. The Evite campaign targeted women ages 21-34 as they planned girlfriend get-togethers, and resulted in more than 30 million impressions.
"Popping Open" the First Widget
Hauser Group's HPNOTIQ widget, which could be shared on sites such as MySpace, Facebook, Friendster and more, featured an event countdown - a feature that helped the widget's popularity skyrocket right before New Year's. From June-December 2009, users viewed the widget more than half a million times.
"Stirring Up" Evite
Recognizing the popularity of Evite for planning girls' nights, Hauser Group created a branded invitation template, which featured pop-up recipes built in for five HPNOTIQ drink mixes, showcasing the liqueur's versatility.
Hauser Group's rich-media banner ads, which drove users to HPNOTIQ.com, were interactive to best engage users. One ad matched women - based on their attire preference - with the best HPNOTIQ cocktail.
"We knew reaching women online while they were planning girls' nights, especially around the holidays, was a critical time to get their attention," says Ed Klein, president of Hauser Group. "And once we had their attention, we showed off HPNOTIQ's ability to mix seamlessly into all their favorite cocktails and the liqueur's new fun, flirty and fabulous personality."
Hauser's successful campaign has resulted in Evite submitting it for the OMMA Awards.

Atlanta Advertising Agencies: For ten years, AtlantaAdAgencies.com has been a trusted source in connecting corporations with some of the best advertising agencies in Atlanta.
The agencies on the AtlantaAdAgencies.com directory have been selected because they "get it." They understand what it takes to increase sales.
So, why don't you see any of the brand name shops listed? Simply because they felt they "know it all" and didn't realize the importance of the Internet for visibility. And as a result, they're still playing catch-up.
